Your adventure begins on the launch field at our Balloonport. Your pilot and crew assemble the flight system, explaining the equipment and answering your questions as they work.

After the balloon is spread out on the ground and assembled, the inflation process begins. A powerful fan pushes air into the envelope. You watch in amazement as the huge nylon teardrop takes shape. When the envelope is filled with air, the burner is started. The trapped air is heated and the balloon slowly rises to a vertical position, gently swaying in the breeze as final pre-flight checks are made.
The pilot beckons and you enter the basket. He fires the burner. The aerostat lifts free of the earth's cluthes. Treetops pass as you ascend. A panorama of the Wisconsin countryside unfolds. On a sunset flight, shadows lengthen, outlining a myriad of wooded hills. You share the thrill of mankind's first reach for the heavens.
You float with the breeze like a cloud, in harmony with your surroundings. You watch from above as hawks circle and deer bound across the balloon's flight path. You cross a road and return the enthusiastic waves of spectators. Every moment provides a new and exciting photographic opportunity for your waiting camera. Our flights are done in the western Lake Country area near Sullivan, 40 minutes to one hour from Milwaukee or from Madison. Each flight will last at least one hour and usually covers five to fifteen air miles.
During the ride, we will rise and descend several times to enjoy the ride, see more scenery, and ride on different air currents. The chase crew will be watching and following along for pick-up at the end of the ride.
The pilot guides the balloon back to earth. The flight is completed. The pilot and crew recover the balloon and load it on its trailer. You board the chase vehicle for the return trip to the Balloonport. You bid the pilot and crew farewell and return to your world. Your adventure is over, but its memories and pictures are yours to treasure for a lifetime.
